1.   Sea of Change
This song is a quick two minutes of commentary on how life is all about change and what we do with it when it rears it's head to shake up our comfy existence. Written when I fell in love and became pregnant within a few weeks of one another, it is a swim through a sea of hormones, a Sea of Change.
2.   Straight Through Your Heart
A simple love song that explores connections with people that feel like destiny: "...we've been called to do our part, the earth has changed her sign, and I'm falling straight through your heart, falling."
3.   Mirror, Mirror
Written after most of the material for the CD was completed. I was searching for the title of the record when a conversation with a spiritually astute friend of mine concerning how each person we meet, each person we love, is a mirror from which to learn about ourselves, triggered these lyrics. And the title track was born.
4.   I Don't Miss You
A sensual vocal and upright bass piece that growls and cries with self-effacing humor and a bit of obvious bravado, for a long distance lover: "I don't miss you, but my eyes do."
5.   Lay Down on Me
An unrequited bout of begging couched in pretty poetry, a "litany of what's wrong song" from the grave of a dead relationship where you, as the abandoned one, reach up from 6 feet of dirt and decay to hold up a single red rose: .."on an outside bet that we love, that we love and we aren't finished yet."
6.   I Forgot to Love You
My personal favorite song on this CD, a pure pleasure to play on the guitar and one that carries a message that many of us could learn from; that being, it takes two to make or break a relationship, and no one person can override the needs and wants of the other without suffering eventual consequences.
7.   Neverland No More
These lyrics were written when I was considering Peter Pan's Neverland - a place where we all remain young and carefree - in the context of a relationship that had gone awry. I love the play of words here, the curve of the sentences and images into one another. Blue acoustic poetry!
8.   Might've Just
This song has that "hindsight is 20-20" feel, a post-break-up realization that I had been an obsessive idiot in the face of lust, thereby missing a true opportunity to love.
9.   I Want You Enough
An a cappella rant of sorts, a bluesy moan, coming from a place of frustration and longing. The lack of instrumentation here defines the nakedness of this frame of mind when there's only one track to follow.
10.   A Place to Pray
The closing chapter in this aural book of lessons learned via a journey through obsession and blind desire. A Place to Pray encompasses unconditional love, patience and divinely sensual humanity as my chosen places to pray.
